Year 9 students will study three, 200 hour elective courses. These subjects will run from the beginning of Year 9 til the conclusion of year 10. Students will not be able to change their 200 hour courses in Year 10 as they are set for the two years of study.

Please note the requirements in regards to WH&S for some courses. Enclosed leather shoes are compulsory for some subjects.

Conditions for Selection 

​*You cannot study more than ONE school-approved course (KHS offers two school-approved courses: iStem and International Studies).

*You may study a maximum of TWO Industrial Technology courses.

Course Fees

Elective subjects involving consumable materials such as food, timber and paints etc, have a levy attached to cover the costs of consumable items used in the course. This levy is a compulsory elective fee (not voluntary) to meet the cost of the consumables. Payment of this levy will allow students to keep completed work. This payment also allows students greater freedom in choosing a range of materials and project sizes in the course of their class work.
